If you are here because you're pissed that your account was purged and you didn't want it to be, I humbly apologize. The system used apparently had a flaw in its purging algorithm. It made the assumption that everyone who reached the 1 year limit had been warned -- at that time. This means that anyone who'd reached 13 months (1 year + 1 month grace period) was first warned that they had one month left, and then summarily deleted. Fast month, eh?
Groups and Registered Student Organizations hosted by the Linux Users Group @ Washington State University:
Scott Robinson has set up a nifty new blog aggregator called Planet EECS for all EECS students. I suggest you go check it out, Scott did an awesome job with it. I'm jealous... ;)
If you'd like your WSU LUG blog to be added to the roster, you can submit it by clicking this link or by visiting your account settings. (logged in users only, of course.)
So if you've posted an anonymous comment since last night, please repost it. We got hit by a chinese spammer who somehow got past our captcha and posted a few hundred empty comments. Not sure why they were all empty, maybe they tried posting bogus html and the input filters sanitized it? Simply getting past the captcha is what bothers me.
/me imagines hordes of little chinese children getting paid 15 cents a day to type in captcha images . . . :(
