Gotta go visit

Holy Crap! I just realized that we're living 9 minutes away from Mozilla!

This place is unbelievable

This place is unbelievable. I'm picking up a new digital camera as soon as I get paid and I'll put up some pictures of it then. They've got their own tennis court and everything. I haven't been able to convince John and Nick to get out and play yet, but there's still hope. We've got our own little suite out here. There's a living room and a big bedroom for the three of us to share. The people hosting us are also extremely nice, even though they are worth about a billion or two. It almost feels like a big family here. We all have dinner together, except Nick who's usually up "visiting" his girlfriend.

I should be getting to bed now

Tomorrow morning at 6am, I'll be headed out on my way to San Jose. I'll be working two months at Cisco and have room and board paid for. Not only paid for, but in the biggest fucking house I've ever seen in my life. 18,000 square feet, its own parking garage and tennis courts. I'll tell you what, this will be the first time I've ever lived in the "rich neighborhood." How did I luck out like this?

I've resized the pictures, sorry about the huge sizes.

Well, today is the day. After a few false starts and one missed midterm (thanks Andy!), little Rebecca Avilynn came out to play after a mere 2 or 3 hours of labor. All 8 lbs, 10.8 oz. of her. Lori just about had a heart attack when she saw what came out of her!

Date: April 25, 2005
Time: 7:35am
Weight: 8 lbs, 10.8 oz.
Length: 19.88 in.

See her page at the hospital.

The only complications were due to her being such a large baby. She had a little trouble getting all the fluid out of her lungs and consequently had a little trouble breathing. She had an oxygen tube for most of the first day, but by that night she was doing just fine without it.
