I'll be teaching a Linux class on October 20th for Student Computing Services. The class will most likely consist of installing Ubuntu and going over some programs to use in place of the Windows programs you are used to.
Free to Residence Hall residents, $30.00 for all Hourly Account holders, and half-price for SCS Semester pass-holders.

I updated world on my gentoo box, only to leave the poor thing as a lifeless mess. Pretty much every package I have depends on libexpat.so.0 but the expat people have changed it to libexat.so.1, and the two are not really compatible. So I followed the instructions so relink stuff with a revdep-rebuild, but I have had very very limited success and my machine is now just about useless. At least I can still use fluxbox and xterm, but no pidgin, apache, firefox, gvim, or really anything else I would normally use works. Grrreeeaat.
